The Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame provides a Muskogee origin and tenor sax/clarinet identification. Search leads repeatedly identify a Walter Foots Thomas in Cab Calloway's orchestra, but this pass did not locate a sufficiently authoritative institutional biography or archival record to close the identity/date evidence.

Medium: the Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame lists Walter Thomas as a Muskogee-born tenor saxophonist/clarinetist; the widely repeated Cab Calloway career is not supported here by a high-authority biography.
