About

Oklahoma Voices

Oklahoma Voices is the oral history project presented by Oklahoma Musicians. Its purpose is to preserve Oklahoma musicians’ experiences, memories, and stories.

The project will explore the people, places, relationships, and everyday experiences that shape a musical life. Supporting historical collections will provide context as reviewed material becomes available.

Teaching, research, and responsible use

Oklahoma Musicians is a noncommercial teaching and research website devoted to Oklahoma music history and musicians’ experiences. Historical materials are presented with educational context and source attribution.

Materials are selected for publication based on permission, an applicable license, public-domain status, or a documented, item-specific fair-use assessment under U.S. copyright law. An educational purpose does not automatically make every use fair use.
